Oceanic

Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926) was an Austrian poet and novelist. He wrote both verse and highly lyrical prose.

Luskentyre, Isle of Harris

Machair (Gaelic)
Long strips of sea meadow and coastal grasslands – one of the rare habitats in Europe formed 4,000 years ago when sand derived from sea shells was driven ashore on to the glacial soils. In summer they transform into a riot of wild flowers, a dazzling contrast to the bare, rugged rocks.

Entanglement
The first law of ecology is that everything is connected to everything else. The lochans are woven and intertwined with plants reliant on each other.

Lewis – Valtos (Bhaltos) peninsular
Loch Roag – Cliff beach (Tràigh na Cliobhe).
A beach that is open to the full force of the Atlantic.
